in Green Awards Competition of 2008, Charlotte Regional Chapter of U. S.
Green Building Council and Charlotte Business Journal, for the Light Imprint Initiative.

Blue Ridge Region Honor Award for Excellence in Urban
Design, AIA Blue Ridge Chapter of the American Institute of
Architects, for City of Roanoke Market Study (prepared in
conjunction with SFCS, Inc., of Roanoke, Virginia).
- Commonwealth Award of Excellence in Downtown Development to City
of Roanoke, City Market District Plan, Virginia Downtown Development
Association, for City of Roanoke Market Study (prepared in
conjunction with SFCS, Inc., of Roanoke, Virginia).
- North Carolina Statewide Marvin Collins Award for Implementation, North Carolina Chapter
of the American Planning Association, for Willow Oaks located in Greensboro, North Carolina.


- National Award for Top Ten Developments, Sierra Club, for Southside located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
- National Award for Best of American Living (BALA), from the National Association of Homebuilders and Professional Builders Magazine, for the new town of Habersham located near Beaufort, South Carolina.
- National Award for Smart Growth AchievementBuilt Projects, Environmental Protection Agency, for the Southside Neighborhood located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
- National Outstanding Planning Award called "Making Great Communities Happen,"
from the American Planning Association, to the City of Greensboro, North Carolina,
for implementation of the Southside Area Development Plan.
- Charlotte Region Merit Award, AIA Charlotte Section of the American Institute of Architects, to DPZ and Bowman Development Group, for Vermillion Phase I.
- National Smart Growth Award, Sierra Club, for Vermillion located in Huntersville, North Carolina.
