Pearlman began his work on the Griffin Park project (a Light Imprint case study) immediately after
joining DPZ in 2006. He has been actively involved in the design of the ongoing project. Prior to
his employment at DPZ, Pearlman was a Senior Landscape Architect and Project Manager for Stantec
Consulting Incorporated in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Pearlman is a Registered Landscape Architect holding licenses in both North and South Carolina. He
is an active member of professional planning organizations such as the Urban Land Institute
(chairing the Programs and Events Committee) and the Congress for the New Urbanism (serving on the
organizing Board of Directors of the Carolinas Chapter).
In 1995, Pearlman received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the College of Environmental,
Science, and Forestry at the State University of New York in Syracuse, New York. His tenure at SUNY,
where he specialized in Urban Design, included a studio in Merida, Mexico, studying ecotourism
resorts. He is active in community events such as serving as Chair of the Environmental and
Architectural Review Committee of the Woodbridge Home Owners' Association. A native of Israel,
Pearlman grew up in a farm-based community that used environmentally friendly agricultural practices
to raise field crops.
